A 35-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded in an Over-the-Rhine attempted street robbery early Friday, Cincinnati police said.
Officers responded to the area of Vine Street and Central Parkway about 4 a.m., said Lt. Chris Ruehmer, the night chief.
They found the victim suffering from at least two gunshot wounds to his left side and buttocks.
He was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. It was not immediately clear if his injuries are considered life-threatening, but he is seriously hurt, Ruehmer said.
A suspect ran off and remains at large, he said.
