Ken Griffey Jr. fans head to Cooperstown for Hall of Fame induction

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A busload of Reds fans are leaving for Cooperstown, New York, early Friday to watch Ken Griffey Jr.’s induction into the National Baseball Hall Fame.

Reds Hall of Famer Ron Oester is hosting the trip, so he also made his way up with the group.

The bus is scheduled to leave about 6:30 a.m.

People arrived as early as 5:30 a.m. at Provident Travel’s Harper’s Station location on Montgomery Road to gear up for the 12 hour road trip.

Griffey Jr. played for the Cincinnati Reds from 2000-2008.
