Ohio has been the center of attention this week with Cleveland hosting the Republican National Convention.
With all of the recent shootings, many of us were holding our breath--hoping what some people are calling the "summer of bloodshed"—would stay away from Cleveland.
It all ended last night with Donald Trump's acceptance speech for the republican nomination. And the good news is the convention was mostly peaceful. In all, just about two dozen protesters were arrested over the four days. Cleveland was prepared for this event. There were thousands of police officers—in all, twenty-one states were represented by law enforcement.
Now, we're off to Philly for the Democratic National Convention. Hopefully, it will be just as peaceful -- with protesters getting their message across without violence. And, as everyone leaves the convention in Cleveland, congratulations go to our sister city to the north for a job well-done.
