SEDAMSVILLE, OH (FOX19) -

Residents of Sedamsville are searching for answers after they say dozens of cats and dogs have been poisoned over the past two months.

Shari Ward says she's had 23 cats and one of her dogs die. Autopsies on at least 5 of the animals proved they were poisoned, according to Ward. She claims the SPCA has offered little help, so she filed a criminal complaint with Cincinnati Police.

Hoping to bring more attention to the string of poisonings, a group of demonstrators protested on River Road Friday night. They held signs reading “Please arrest someone” and “What if they were your pets?”

In the meantime, Ward is offering a $15,000 reward for anyone who can offer more information about the pet deaths.

A resident first reported a poisoning death in May. The most recent happened within the last week.
