CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Tuesday is National BagelFest Day.
The day is credited to Murray Lender, owner of Lenders Bagels.
In 1986, Murray started the festival in Mattoon, Illinois, home of the world's largest bagel factory.
To this day, the five-day annual BagelFest is still held in Mattoon.
When the Bagel Factory first came to the town of Mattoon, Lender hosted a free bagel breakfast for all the citizen of the city.
This breakfast eventually evolved into a multiple-day festival that celebrates the community every year.
Every year the festival has a Miss BagelFest Contest, a Bagel Baby Contest, a parade and live music.
This year's BagelFest will mark the 31st year anniversary of the festival.
So if you're a fan of the crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle bread, grab yourself some bagels and post on social media using #nationalbagelfestday.
