Munoz To Quit Football

Former Vol Munoz decides to quit football

The son of Cincinnati Bengals Hall of Famer Anthony Munoz has decided to end his football career after not being selected in the NFL draft.

Michael Munoz was a four-year starter at Tennessee, but his father says injuries likely contributed to his not being drafted. The All-American started 46 games in his career despite ending his senior season early because of a torn rotator cuff. Anthony Munoz says his son has not decided what to do now.

Michael Munoz was one of the best college recruits in the country after he graduated from Cincinnati's Moeller High School. He had graduated early from Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in political science and was named the nation's top scholar-athlete.
