Once felons get out of prison it can be tough getting back into everyday life.
Dan Mason has served a total of four years behind bars for various crimes including theft and DUI. He says some employers allow his background to hold him back. However, Candace Tubbs, executive director of society for the advancement of reforming felons, believes in Mason and others like him.
Tubbs says she receives about 100 applications a week to her program, SARF, which helps those who've done time mentoring, job placement and training.
