CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Two workers were able to safely make it off a scaffold platform after it dangled from the U.S. Bank Tower in downtown Cincinnati Tuesday.
The workers were on the platform when one side of it fell after a scaffolding wire snapped around noon, police said.
Once fire crews arrived, the two workers were self-rescued by safely making their way to an adjacent rooftop, according to Cincinnati Fire District 1 Chief Raffel Prophett. Neither worker was injured.
According to official, a secondary harness the men were wearing "saved their life."
The workers were on the platform dismantling the stars on the logo, police said.
Police closed Fifth Street while a worker secured the loose scaffolding platform. The road has since reopened.
