Resort and water park planned in conjunction with Kings Island
Plans for a 100 million-dollar family resort and entertainment complex have been announced by Paramount's Kings Island and Great Wolf Resorts.
The Great Wolf Lodge resort will be on land located on the north side of the amusement park near Cincinnati. The 39 acres now are used as camp ground.
Great Wolf CEO John Emory says the complex will include a four-story, 404-suite resort, a 75-thousand-square-foot indoor water park, a conference center, family restaurants, large arcade, gift shop, spa, fitness center and outdoor recreation area. He expects it to open by late 2006.
Kings Island's marketing communications manager, Jeff Siebert, says shuttles and trams will transport vacationers from the lodge to the park.
