Bearcats end 59-year old drought in big road win

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati snapped a 59-year old drought on Saturday when it beat Purdue 38-20 in West Lafayette, their first road win over a Big Ten team since November 9th, 1957.
 
Hayden Moore completed 19 of 32 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns in the air. He also ran for 58 yards with two rushing touchdowns, adding up to five total TD’s in the win.   
 
Nate Cole had six receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end DJ Dowdy also reeled in a 20-yard touchdown reception. Kahlil Lewis finished with 111 all-purpose yards.  
 
UC forced five turnovers including three interceptions by senior safety Mike Tyson. Tyrell Gilbert and Alex Thomas each had a pick as well.

The Bearcats had 512 total yards with a balanced attack, 250 yards passing and 262 yards rushing. Mike Boone had 18 rushes for 78 yards and two catches for 22 yards in the win.

UC (2-0) returns home next to host No. 6 Houston Thursday night on ESPN.
