CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - It's that time of year when businesses begin hiring for the holidays.
Macy's plans to hire 83,000 workers this year nationwide, an increase of 3,000 over 2015.
The retailer is hosting it's first "National Hiring Day" next week.
Visit any Macy's or Bloomingdale's store on between 2-8 p.m. on Sept. 30 to apply in person.
"This significant increase in staffing allows us to provide addition service to customers, however they engage with us," said Terry J. Lundgren, Macy's,
Inc. Chairman and CEO.
Other national businesses have also announced their seasonal hiring plans:
- Kohl’s: 69,000 employees
- Target: 145,000 positions
- UPS: 95,000 workers.
Don't wait. Retailers say they expect the positions to fill fast.
