CHEVIOT, OH (FOX 19) - Cheviot Elementary School was briefly placed on lockdown Friday morning while authorities investigated a report of a suspicious package nearby.
The precautionary lockdown was lifted at 8:40 a.m., school officials said.
Earlier, crews and the bomb squad were called to the area outside PNC Bank on Bridgetown Road.
Someone reported seeing a suspicious item at 8:08 a.m.
Initial dispatches indicated it appeared to be a 5-gallon bucket possibly containing cleaner fluid.
