Two women were shot and found in separate locations early Monday, Cincinnati police said.
One of the victims was located on Gilbert Avenue near a PNC Bank and Kroger store just before 4:30 a.m.
The woman was found at a bus stop nearby.
The shooting itself is believed to have occurred at McMillan Street and Melrose Avenue, police said.
One of the victims suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and went to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, police confirmed.
Both were in stable condition at the hospital.
The suspect remains at large, police said.
He fled the scene and was last seen westbound on Taft.
Police said they hope the bank's security cameras captured at least some of the incident.
McMillan Street is shut down for about a block in the area.
Gilbert Avenue was briefly closed, but it has since reopened.
