The governor of Kentucky will be getting involved in the debate over a proposed residential drug re-hab facility in Latonia. Transitions Inc. already has Kenton County's approval to build the center for 100 males about a quarter mile from Latonia Elementary School. But parents in the area aren't at all happy about it and they're circulating petitions to stop the project. The re-hab program is one of ten being built at Governor Fletcher's request. Transitions' Director, Mac McArthur tells FOX 19, "We have waiting lists of 2 to 4 months to get into our residential programs. Everybody from governments right on down to the individual homeowner can tell you where it should not go. Nobody can tell you where it should go." The Kenton County owned property is zoned residential. Transitions Inc. is expected to make a presentation to the Covington commissioners Tuesday night at 7pm.
