ELMWOOD PLACE, OH (FOX19) - Crews are working to put out hot spots at a home that caught fire in Elmwood Place early Wednesday morning.
Flames engulfed the back of the residence in the 500 block of Oak Street when firefighters arrived just before 3:30 a.m., according to Hamilton County dispatchers.
The fire spread up into the second floor before it was knocked down by about 3:45 a.m., they said.
Neighbors tell FOX19 NOW a man who lives there was not home at the time, but dogs were trapped inside.
Initial emergency reports did indicate dogs were inside the home, and there was "an entrapment."
