CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - On Tuesday, Ray Tensing became emotional during his testimony in court. He was handed a tissue to wipe the tears from his eyes. It was an action that family members of Sam Dubose said they found insincere.
"In this court Ray Tensing...he doesn't care. He's crying just to make it look better on his end," said Sam Dubose's daughter Teaila Williamston.
During a recess, one family member described his emotions as an act, saying that they had just watched an award-winning performance.
"We were at the Oscars just now. We were watching an actor on stand right now. Imitating tears that we've been crying over a year as a family, very passionate tears. Tears because we lost someone. He put on tear to put on an act for a jury," said Sam Dubose's fiancée DaShonda Reid.
"He's just playing the victim. Everything that happened that day was his life. It's a horrible lie," said Sam Dubose's sister, said Terina Dubose-Allen.
Audrey Dubose, Sam Debose's mother was in court Tuesday. She looked visibly upset in the hallway during a break. Someone with the family confirmed that she left the courthouse during the recess.
After court was adjourned for the day, Terina Dubose-Allen gave a comment on Tensing saying, "He thought nothing at all about his life, that's all I'm going to say."
