Jackson's Maid Testifies

Maid testifies about entry alarm for Jackson's bedroom suite

Michael Jackson's defense attorneys are trying to prove that nobody could just sneak into the pop star's bedroom. That could discredit the accuser's brother's account of entering Jackson's two-story bedroom suite and seeing Jackson molest his brother. Today, one of Jackson's former maids is describing the alarm that sounds when anyone enters the master suite. The defense says the chime -- similar to those at the doors of convenience stores -- would have alerted Jackson that someone was entering the suite. Prosecutors have suggested the alarm is low enough that Jackson may not have heard it -- allowing the accuser's brother to approach. They've also said the chime may have been louder during a recent test, and lower at other times. Today's witness testified that the alarm had been consistently loud.
