(FOX19) - Residents of a Canadian town could see their "Good Times Gone" with an unusual form of punishment if they decide to drink and drive during the holidays.
On Nov. 26, Kensington Police Service posted a message to Facebook with a warning that will make drivers "Never Again" get behind the wheel of a car after sipping on spiked eggnog.
The offenders who are "dumb enough to feel they can drink and drive," will get to listen to Nickelback's "Silver Side Up" cassette, in the police cruiser on the way to the station.
"And when we catch you, and we will catch you, on top of a hefty fine, a criminal charge and a year's driving suspension we will also provide you with a bonus gift of playing the office's copy of Nickelback in the cruiser on the way to jail.
Now, now, no need to thank us, we figure if you are foolish enough to get behind the wheel after drinking then a little Chad Kroeger and the boys is the perfect gift for you."
Constable Robb Hartlen told CNN the department doesn't actually hate the band.
"We are just using a different approach to get an age-old message communicated," he said. "As long as it starts the 'Don't drink and drive' dialogue, we're happy with that."
