La Salle wins third state championship

(FOX19) - La Salle won a third straight state championship on Thursday after taking down Perry 14-7 in a comeback win in Division II.
The Lancers had just 67 total yards in the first half and two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. La Salle would trail 7-0 at the half.

Tre'Sean Smith stepped in for Griffin Merritt in the second half at quarterback and the Lancers offense came to life. Smith ran it for 127 yards and two touchdowns, including the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter.

La Salle's defense would step up late with an interception by Tyler Richardson and fumble recovery to seal the win.

La Salle has now won 15 straight playoff games in Division II.
