Classmates Learn of Teen's Murder

Johnny Warrington was a senior at Summit Country Day School, a small private school in Hyde Park. Summit's senior class is very small, just 79 students. Every one of them were called to the school Tuesday to be told the news in person that their classmate had been murdered.

The school's headmaster, Joseph Devlin, says the entire campus is in a state of shock. "I got the news at about 2:45 this afternoon, "says Devlin, "I was in a meeting, someone called me out and told me that one of our students had been killed, hit with a baseball bat. Initially I thought he was playing baseball?"

Devlin says Warrington was a good student, a quiet guy, who'd been at Summit since seventh grade. "Great smile, just a great presence, just a neat quality guy."

The school says it will do everything it can to help the Warrington family, the students, and the faculty get through this tragedy.
