Mount Clemens meter attendant pleads guilty in 120-thousand-dollar theft
A former parking meter attendant in suburban Detroit has pleaded guilty to stealing 120-thousand dollars in quarters.
Vincent Howard has agreed to pay most of the money back. He'll repay 70-thousand dollars within 30 days, and another 30-thousand over the two years he'll be on probation. A judge also has ordered Howard to spend six months on an electronic tether. Howard worked for the city of Mount Clemens for 23 years. He was arrested last year after police raided his home and found thousands of dollars in coins. Investigators also found money in Howard's car and the car he used on his rounds.
