Survey: Parents spend as much time on-screen as kids - Cincinnati News, Weather, Sports from FOX19 NOW-WXIX

While many parents may be telling their kids to put down their phones, they can be just as guilty about too much screen time.

A national survey found parents and kids spend an average of nine hours every day using media and technology. 

And most of that time is for entertainment not work. 

Meanwhile, 78% of parents said they were good media role models for their children.

Sounds like they may need to make some changes!

The research was conducted by the Common Sense Media Group and Northwestern University.
