(FOX19) - A Christmas-themed board game, called Santa vs. Jesus, invites players to choose team Santa or team Jesus.
Players compete in four rounds of puzzles, brain teasers and riddles to win the most believers.
By the end of the game, players will know if Christmas belongs to the jolly old elf or Jesus.
Creators call it an epic party game hitting store shelves just in time for the holidays.
On Amazon, it's received nearly 4 out of 5 stars.
FOX19 NOW caught up with those getting into the Christmas spirit on Fountain Square to get their reaction of the game that is stirring from controversy.
"It looks pretty funny," says Matthew Edwards of Florence.
Tito Pel, the senior pastor at Moores Hill Church of Christ, said the board game is kind of blasphemous.
"You're putting Santa on the level of Jesus," he said.
Pel also said the game trivializes Christian belief and equates Santa and Jesus as both fictional characters.
"There are people who are anti Christmas if there is Christ in it, so they want to call it holiday instead of Christmas but there are not against Santa because anything away from Jesus Christ is OK," he said.
There have been calls for Amazon to remove the game from its site, but at last check it was still up.
