Setting of `Jaws' preparing to celebrate film's 30th anniversary

A town on Martha's Vineyard is gearing up for a nostalgic glimpse of the fear that roared from their community with a vengeance 30 years ago when the movie "Jaws" debuted. The fictional community of Amityville was actually Edgartown, Massachusetts, and the island's Chamber of Commerce has arranged a three-day festival starting today.

Some of the supporting actors from the movie will be there to sign autographs, including the young woman who took that night-time dip when the shark showed up.

One of the mechanical sharks will also be on display. Gary Cogley of the Martha's Vineyard Chamber of Commerce says Jaws has a devoted fan base. He's gotten requests for festival information from as far away as Australia.
