CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Bengals free agent cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick has re-signed with the Bengals on a five-year deal.
Kirkpatrick, a first round draft pick by the Bengals in 2012, tweeted out the news just minutes after free agency opened around the NFL at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
"Cincy I'm coming home 5 more years" – Kirkpatrick said in the tweet.
Kirkpatrick is coming off one of his best seasons in Cincinnati with three interceptions and 46 tackles in 15 games.
According to a report by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Bengals fought hard to keep Kirkpatrick in Cincinnati.
