More Republicans say closing Guantanamo isn't the answer
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist says the US should "absolutely" not close the military's prison at Guantanamo Bay.
Frist says "to cut and run because of image problems is the wrong, wrong thing to do." Frist and Senator John McCain are the latest Republicans to argue against closing the prison, which has come under fire for alleged US mistreatment of terrorism suspects being held there.
McCain acknowledges the US has an image problem because of the allegations of abuse and torture. But he says the key is to bring the detainees to trial rather than keeping them at Guantanamo "in perpetuity."
