Fan Death

Report says two Boston officers lied to investigators reviewing fan's death

A Boston Police Department investigation reportedly says two officers lied to investigators looking into the fatal police shooting of a fan at a Red Sox celebration.

The Boston Globe says Police Superintendent Al Goslin won't identify the officers or give details about what they said to investigators. A 21-year-old college student was killed last October outside of Fenway Park when she was hit in the eye socket with a pepper-spray bullet. The city later paid her family a five-point-one million dollar settlement.

The Boston Globe reports Goslin also won't discuss possible disciplinary action against the officers. He says they are not among the five already facing administrative discipline for their actions that day.
