A man with ties to a gang is now facing charges in Butler County.
William Bragg II, 26, was stopped by police in Monroe.
According to the Butler County Sheriff's Office, Bragg has ties to the MS13 gang.
Officials said Bragg, along with Echo Seward, 27, of Cincinnati, were in possession of heroin and ice.
A search warrant was conducted at the Best Western in Monroe, where agents confiscated approximately $4,000 cash, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of gang paraphernalia.
"This is in our backyard and I don't want it here," said Sheriff Richard Jones. "It is not ok to set up camp and traffic drugs in this county or bring gangs and the violence that follows."
The sheriff credited a tip for leading to the bust.
"Tell your friends and family if they bring drugs or gang affiliations here, we will put them behind bars," said Sheriff Jones.
Bragg is charged with two counts of possession of drugs.
Seward was arrested on a parole violation.
Officials said more charges will be added when the case goes to the grand jury.
