CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

FOX19 NOW has confirmed a report by Fan Rag Sports that the University of Cincinnati and UCLA are set to meet in a home-and-home basketball series over the next two seasons.

UC would travel to play UCLA in the 2017-18 season, with a return meeting scheduled at new Fifth Third Arena for the 2018-19 season in Cincinnati.

The deal is not yet inked, according to the source, but is in the works.

UCLA beat the Bearcats 79-67 in the second round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament. The Bruins, led by head coach Steve Alford, went on to lose to the University of Kentucky in the Sweet 16.

The Bearcats will return three starters -- Gary Clark, Jacob Evans and Kyle Washington -- from last season’s team that finished 30-6.

The Bruins lost star freshmen Lonzo Ball and TJ Leaf to the NBA as well as senior guard Bryce Alford.

Alford's incoming recruiting class -- which is currently ranked second on ESPN.com -- includes two five-star prospects and three-four star talents.

UCLA is considered one of the great college basketball programs. They've won a record 11 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championships
