Delays begin on the Brent Spence Bridge through the end of May

HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

Work crews will be cleaning out the drainage areas and doing bridge work on the Brent Spence Bridge starting next week. 

Starting Monday, April 24, crews will be blocking various lanes of northbound I-71/75 on the bridge in the overnight hours.

They will be blocking the ramp from Fourth Street in Covington to northbound I-75/71.  So traffic will need to take a detour into Downtown.

Work crews will be working nightly from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. during the week, and from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. on weekends.

The work will begin on Monday, April 24 and continue nightly until Wednesday, May 24.

The detour for the ramp closure is to head south on I-71/75 take the Pike Street exit then take a left under the interstate and back onto I-71/75 north across the bridge.

Signs will be posted in the area.

All work is weather dependent.
