Xavier Musktateers fans will notice several new changes at the Cintas Center when they return for the 2017-2018 basketball season.

Construction that began on the center in early March are upgrading seating, hospitality areas and the overall GameDay experience.

New seats will be featured in the lower bowl, but seating capacity in that area will be reduced by about 100.

Seats will be added overlooking the "X-treme fan" zone. This section is known as "The Lookout."

The existing retractable seating system and fixed seats in the upper level will be demolished to accommodate a new destination area.

Ultimately, capacity for the Cintas Center will increase slightly to 10,370.

There also will be four additional hospitality spaces for fans including The Courtside Club and The Living Rooms Seats at The Joseph Club as well as a new sports bar area with TVs and live radio show.

On game days, the second floor academic area, located under the Xavier Hall of Fame, will be transformed into a sports bar area with TVs playing popular out-of-town games.

Full bars and food options will be available along with another exciting feature of Joe and Byron's pre-game radio show taking place each game live from the Traditions Club.
