U.S. News & World Report has ranked the best high schools in the country.

This year, several Tri-State schools made the list.

Wyoming High School was ranked second in Ohio and 95th nationally.

Indian Hill High School was ranked third in Ohio and 125th nationally.

Madeira High School was ranked fifth in Ohio and 163rd nationally.

The top 500 schools in the country are given gold awards. The awards are determined by four steps:

1. Students perform better than expected in their state.
2. Disadvantaged students perform better than state average.
3. Student graduation rates meet or exceed a national standard.
4. Students are prepared for college-level coursework.

The U.S. News rankings included data on more than 22,000 public high schools.
