The Race for the Cure Pink Ribbon Walk is set to take off in October at Coney Island.
Organizers with the 2017 Komen Southwest Ohio Race for the Cure said the walk will start at 9 a.m. on Oct. 1.
Before the race starts, there will be an expo and registration at 7 a.m. At 10 a.m., organizers will hold the Celebration of Hope ceremony and at 10:30 a.m., the rides at the park will open.
To ride all the rides at Coney Island, participants must register for the race and receive a runner’s bib.
Participants can also sign up for the “In the Pink” program. That includes walk registration, parking, breakfast, a commemorative sweatshirt, and $100 of the fee is a donation that will be reflected on the donor’s fundraising page.
Coney Island is located at 6201 Kellogg Ave. in Cincinnati.
The group will also have a 5k trail run on July 16 at Keehner Park ahead of the main events.
