An extremely painful time for the parents of Matt Maupin is being made easier by President Bush. They've spoken before and he's sent notes before, but Wednesday Bush made a point to reach out to the Maupin's again. He saw Matt's picture pinned on 2nd District Congressional candidate Jean Schmidt's lapel during an oval office visit. The president then crafted a hand-written letter that he asked Schmidt to deliver immediately. Bush also put a button with Matt's picture on his desk. Carolyn Maupin says the Bush note was uplifting and appreciated. Matt Maupin has been missing since he was captured by Iraqi insurgents April 9, 2004.
