CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A resident suffered smoke inhalation and was hospitalized when fire destroyed his home and damaged two others early Monday, a Cincinnati fire official said.
The man was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, said District 4 Fire Chief Randy Freel. He is expected to be released later Monday morning.
Crews found the resident when they responded to reports of a fully engulfed house fire in the 500 block of Torrence Lane just before 1 a.m., according to Freel.
The cause of the fire was ruled accidental, but it's not clear yet how it started, he said.
The home is declared a total loss, according to Freel. He estimated damage to be $100,000.
Two other homes were damaged.
FOX19 NOW has a crew at the scene and will update this story throughout the morning.
