CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Zack Cozart and Joey Votto will represent the Cincinnati Reds at the MLB All-Star Game.

Cozart will be making his first All-Star appearance after winning the fan vote. He’ll be the first Reds shortstop to start a mid-summer classic since Barry Larkin in 2000.

“I never thought I’d be starting (the All-Star Game),” said Cozart. “It’s just a really, really cool feeling.”

Cozart leads all National League shortstops with a .323 batting average and five triples.

Votto is making his fifth appearance in the All-Star Game and first since 2013. His 23 home runs are already his most before the All-Star break in his career. He currently leads all Major League hitters in walks and OPS.

The All-Star Game is Tuesday July 11 in Miami. You can see the game on FOX19 Now.
