FRANKLIN COUNTY, IN (FOX19) -

A 10-year-old girl was swimming at Mounds Beach at Brookville Reservoir in Indiana Tuesday afternoon when she made contact with a body. It was a 5-year-old boy that was missing for about 10 minutes.

The girl's father pulled the boy out and bystanders started CPR. Air Care flew the child to Cincinnati Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead around 4:30 p.m.

The boy was identified Wednesday as Anderson Jacobo-Ramire.

Maria Corona, a pre-med student at Cincinnati State, was one of the first to give the boy CPR.

" A crowd gathering around the child to help. A paramedic nurse with the Army also joined in to  help give the child CPR. "He was kind of choking. He was coughing up stuff,” said Corona. She says the mother and father ran over begging her and the others to save their son. "She was telling the child like saying you have to wake up please wake up I need you to wake up."

Officers located the parents that have been looking for him. It is unclear what lead up to the drowning.

Indiana conservation officers said in a release there are no lifeguards that work in the area.
