Resident: Man at retirement center repeatedly gropes women

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - A woman living at a Middletown retirement center is speaking out after she claims a male resident has repeatedly groped women and wandered into their rooms.

Christine Rose said she's hesitant to even leave her room at the Garden Manor, located on Hamilton-Middletown Road, for fear of encountering the resident.

"I was standing at the receptionist desk on my crutches and he grabbed my hips and pushed his pelvis against my rear," said Rose, 37, who stays at the Manor due to a disability. "He asked about my sexuality and if I could be pleasured."

Rose also claims to man has walked into her room at night and has abused another resident in her 80s.

The administrative staff at Garden Manor declined to comment on the allegations. A Middletown Police report shows that the facility is aware of the inappropriate allegations and has the incidents on file.

Rose said the staff has brushed off her complaints about the man, so she decided to confront him herself.

"He told me he would slice my throat you c-word," she said of the encounter.

Administrators are trying to remove the man from Garden Manor, but, according to the police report, have run into some issues in the process.

Police questioned the resident and he denied all accusations.

A report against his has been filed to Adult Protective Services.
