The Butler County Coroner's Office identified the West Chester man pulled from a pond where a car was found submerged Monday.
Kelvin Tabiri, 19, was identified as the person who was pulled a pond near Frontgate Outlet between Union Center Boulevard and West Chester Road around 1 p.m.
Drowning has been determined as the primary cause of death, according to the coroner's office.
Authorities noticed damage to landscaping near the pond when they discovered a vehicle had driven through the property and into the water, according to township spokesperson Barb Wilson.
Crews used sonar equipment to search the water.
Wilson said the vehicle was removed from the pond around 4:30 p.m.. Authorities recovered the body about a half hour later.
No word as to what led up to the car going into the water.
