CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Over-the-Rhine and Downtown Cincinnati residents soon will have a modern, full-service grocery that fits their lifestyle.
Adjacent to historic Findlay Market, the airy Epicurean Mercantile Company offers a 5,700-square-foot grocery and a lunch counter at 1818 Race Street.
The business is owned by veteran grocery executives and chefs Meredith Trombly and Louis Snowden, who have operated Fresh Table in Findlay Market since 2010.
The new grocery serves the needs of all income brackets with fresh food, shelf-stable food, libations, personal hygiene and seasonal gift items. The Counter restaurant, located within the grocery, offers freshly prepared foods by Chef Victor Brown and his staff in an open kitchen concept.
The Epicurean Mercantile Company is a vital part of the Model Group's $24 million Market Square development, revitalizing the entire 1800 block of Race Street next to Findlay Market.
Epicurean Mercantile Company grocery hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with The Counter open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
