CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The lower deck of the Western Hills Viaduct has reopened after debris was falling from the upper deck, according to Cincinnati officials.
The decision to close the area was "made out of an abundance of caution," the city tweeted.
The conditions of the Western Hills Viaduct have been a hot topic of local conversation for years.
City officials say the half mile long viaduct that carries over 55,000 vehicles per day is reaching the end of its design life. But officials maintain the viaduct is structurally safe.
