Police: K9 found heroin, hypodermic needles during traffic stop

BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) -

On Friday, a Batavia Police Department K9 unit conducted a traffic stop and found drugs and hypodermic needles. 

Police said during the stop suspicious behavior was observed, and after they had a positive indication a search was conducted.

The search resulted in 29.7 grams of heroin and 87 needles, as well as numerous pills.

The occupant of the vehicle admitted to police they sold the product.

Their name has not been released at this time.

Charges are pending after finalized lab results.
