COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A relative of a victim injured in the mass shooting in Colerain Township is searching for answers and justice in the case.
On July 8, three children and six adults were shot at what guests labeled a gender reveal party on Capstan Drive. Autum Garrett, 22, of Indiana died at the scene.
Family members said Morgan Bradley is one of the people who was shot. She is currently at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center getting treatment for her injuries.
"It just hurts to see her like that, and I just think it's wrong," Bradley's relative, who asked to remain unnamed to protect their family from further harm, said.
She said Bradley went to Cheyanne Willis' gender reveal party that day not knowing what was ahead. She said Bradley believed Willis, who was hosting the party, was really pregnant, but police later revealed Willis was not pregnant.
"She had no clue. She believed everything was true," the relative said.
Bradley's family said Bradley and her three children were still at the party, sitting inside the house, when two armed men busted inside and started shooting.
"It was just chaos, like 14 shots were fired. She was scared for her life and she thought she was going to die and all she could do was protect her babies," Bradley's relative said.
Bradley's first instinct, family members said, was to keep her children safe. The 24-year-old laid over top of them, and ended up getting shot four times - twice in the stomach and twice in the leg.
While Bradley recovers in the hospital, her family is taking care of her children.
"The oldest one [child], she's always going to be scarred by this," the relative said.
Bradley's relatives said that they just want someone held responsible.
"I just hope that they find them because it's totally not fair. Morgan deserves justice," Bradley's loved one said.
Relatives have started a GoFundMe online fundraiser to help pay for the childrens' needs and for Bradley's rehab.
There is also a GoFundMe page for the family of Autum Garrett.
Police are still trying to track down the two gunmen.
It's not clear yet whether Willis, who police said faked the pregnancy, will face charges.
An anonymous donor is offering $10,000 for information that would lead to arrests.
The reward money comes as Colerain Township Police, Cincinnati Police and federal investigators search for the suspects in the case. Little information about the shooting or suspects has been released.
