COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

An early morning wake up call for some Columbia Township residents after a police chase ended in a fiery crash and arrest Friday morning.

The crash took place at the intersection of Edith and Cambridge avenues around 2 a.m..

Police say they initially began to pursue the 2002 Buick on the 8000 block of Reading Road because it was reported stolen out of Cincinnati.

The car did not slow down and continued northbound for several miles after coming to an abrupt stop when slamming into the light pole on Cambridge Avenue.

The juvenile driver was taken to Children's Hospital prior to being transported to juvenile detention, officials said.

He is charged with fleeing and evading, receiving stolen property (motor vehicle) and driving without a license.

The other two juveniles in the car did not suffer injuries and were released to their guardians. They have not been charged.
