Robbery suspect gains entry to Norwood gas station by shooting door

NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

Police are looking for a suspect wanted for an aggravated robbery at a Norwood gas station last month. 

The robbery took place around 2:13 a.m. on June 12 at the Speedway in the 2700 block of Williams Avenue. 

Police say the suspect approached the store from Edwards Road and proceeded directly to the front doors of the business.

Patrons and employees recognized the suspect was about to commit robbery and locked the door.

Authorities say the suspect fired a shot through the door, breaking the glass and gaining entry.

Once inside, police said the suspect completed the robbery and fled the store, taking a marked “Alliance Universal Protection Service” vehicle. The vehicle is described as a white Ford Escape with an amber light bar and license plate GLJ6970.
