Tyrone Turner becomes emotional as he talks about his father (FOX19 NOW)
AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -
An Avondale man was brought to tears Tuesday morning after discovering vandals had targeted a precious gift from his late father.
The back windows of Tyrone Turner’s gold Cadillac were smashed with bricks. Neighbors reported witnessing two teenage boy and a teenage girl running away from the scene where several cars were damaged.
Turner said he checks on his prized vehicle from his porch every morning and night. It's all he has left from his father, Bishop Lee Turner, a World War II veteran who died two years ago.
"When you see something like this, a man who defended your country and these idiots running around here like this tearing up, they just don't know what I've been through," said Turner, who said he’d kept the car in a storage unit for 2 years, babied it and had just recently moved it to his secured parking lot.
Cincinnati Police are looking at security video right now, hoping to get a good look at who did this. As for Turner, he had planned to take his father's car for a drive, in honor of his birthday, August 1st.
