CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

Cincinnati Police are seeking witnesses to the shooting that shut down a busy roadway in downtown Cincinnati Tuesday.

A driver was critically hurt when a bullet shot through his window on the Sixth Street ramp to southbound Interstate 75 near the Brent Spence Bridge.

Few details are known about the shooting, but police believe the two shots were fired within a short vicinity of the interstate, Captain Doug Weisman said Wednesday.

The victim is not expected to survive and the investigation is being treated as a homicide. His wife, who was in the passenger’s seat, was not injured.

Police said the couple live in the region and are originally from Myanmar.

Investigators are looking through different video sources around the area for a suspect or vehicle description.

Weisman said it is too soon to determine whether this was a road rage incident.

Several witnesses have come forward and police are asking anyone with information to contact the department or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
