CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

It was a big day for five siblings who were officially adopted by their foster parents on Thursday.

The Rom's have been fostering Will, 12, Truth, 9, Mariana, 6, Kierra, 3, and KJ, 2, for the past year, although the first of the children was placed with them back in 2014.

Will and Julie Rom said they tried to have their own kids for a decade, and although they didn't foresee having five kids, it's a lifelong dream come true.

"Julie was made to be a mom. I mean she... she just had to be a mom, and so this was our way of having a family and I mean, couldn't be better," Will said.

"Even though to some people that see this, they'll say that's impossible, that maybe you can adopt one child or two children... so you're doing an amazing thing," Julie said.

The family said they just moved into a new house with more room and are looking forward to adjusting to their new life together.
