Trapped in Van

90-year-old woman left in sweltering van

Police are not expecting to file charges in the case of a 90-year-old Nebraska woman who lost consciousness after spending ten hours trapped in a sweltering van.

Police say Marguerite McClure had gotten into a senior group's bus for lunch early Wednesday afternoon. After lunch, the van's driver forgot to take her home -- instead parking the bus outside a community building at the city park, locking it and leaving. McClure was found unconscious late Wednesday night after her son began looking for her.

McClure's daughter says her temperature had risen to 103 degrees by the time she was found. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of dehydration and high blood pressure.
