CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Middletown lawyer is in custody after allegedly breaking into his mother-in-law's home, Franklin police say.

William Matthew Tinch, 35, was arrested Friday after Linda Crawford reported her basement was broken into while she was gone early that morning. Authorities say Tinch forced his way into the home and wrote a message to his mother on her computer.

Police are not releasing information on what the message was.

Tinch is held on a $100,000 cash bond and is awaiting an arraignment on Monday.

Tinch is a personal injury lawyer in Middletown with no history of sanctions of discipline issues according to the Ohio Supreme Court and his firm's Facebook page
